RUNNING/WALKING CLUB

WHO: anyone in Elementary School
WHAT: moving around the track – running or walking – keeping track of those miles!
WHEN: Tuesdays & Thursdays during Lunch Recess

JUMP ROPE CLUB

*Registration required: $35 to participate for the year (Sept 16th-March)

WHO: grades 2nd – 8th / 40 places available
WHAT: hour long jump rope instruction from the Summerwind Skippers
WHEN: Fridays AFTER school from 4-5pm in the Galileo Gym

CHESS CLUB

WHO: grades K – 8th / 75 places available
WHAT: instruction, playing time, and additional opportunities to compete!
WHEN: Wednesdays BEFORE school from 8:45-9:20 in the Galileo Cafeteria

MEET THE MASTERS

WHO: all elementary (K – 5) students have access to this program
WHAT: Elementary classroom art enrichment pre-prepared program; monthly learning in classrooms about a famous artist and creating original works that will rival their style and composition!

BOTBALL /JR. BOTBALL

**FULL for 2022-2023**

WHO: due to the number of returning Robotics participants from last year, there are 8 Jr. BotBall positions available (4th - 5th ), and 2 Sr. BotBall positions available (6th - 8th ).

WHAT: after-school Robotics Club: learning, coding, competing!
WHEN: Starting Sept 20th, Tuesdays after school, 4-5:30pm
Advised by: Mrs. Kwid, Mrs. Bivens, & Mrs. Knight/Parent Volunteers too

This year, there is a participation fee of $75.  If your student would like to participate, but the cost of participation is too much for your family, please contact Mr. Lamb for a possible scholarship.

SKI TEAM

WHO: grades 6-8 / Registration Fee $35
WHAT: competitive skiing at Bogus Basin, culminating with the Dotty Clark Race
WHEN: informational meeting to be held in November – listen for announcements!
Races will be held on Saturdays in January & February.

ROCKET CLUB

WHO: grades 7-8 / Application only / Registration Fee $75 once accepted
WHAT: before-school, learning, engineering, competing!
WHEN: start date to come, Thursdays before school

MIDDLE LEVEL ART

WHO: grades 6-8/ no cost / 30 students maximum
WHAT: instruction in varied art projects and skill level throughout the year
WHEN: 2 Wednesdays/month BEFORE school, 8:30-9:20am

WHO: any Middle Level student / no cost / no registration required
WHAT: an hour-long session of doing math, having fun with friends who like math too!
Teamwork and competition available outside of Galileo too.
WHEN: Thursdays AFTER school starting Sept 22 from 4-5pm
